the matter is fixed

"In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory." Eph. 1:11-12

God is the sovereign disposer of all my affairs according to the counsel of His will. The matter is fixed. The disposal of His providence over me and the wisdom of that disposal should be trusted.

The determinations He has made about me were not made suddenly but hid in him before the world was made. This place and time in which I live, and the plans that He has for me are His by design. I am dependent on Him to sustain me here and now and perform these plans.

God has instituted the distinctions of prosperity, property, and providence and asked me not to trespass against my brother. The boundaries are His. My life, breath, and being are sustained moment by moment by His hand. He knows my condition and my rank.

Indeed, I am His offspring. The matter is fixed.
